At Deerfields Bakery, we have three bakeries in Illinois: one in Buffalo Grove, one in Deerfield, and one in Schaumburg.
We do all our gluten-free baking in our Schaumburg bakery and have designated a gluten-free area in this facility. The Schaumburg store is ideal because we only decorate cakes in a separate section. There are no wheat, barley or rye flours stored on premises. What’s more, we purchased a brand new oven to bake only gluten-free products.
Once our gluten-free products have baked and cooled, everything is packaged and sealed so there is no danger of cross-contamination from our wheat products in the store front.
All of our wheat products, incidentally, are produced in the Buffalo Grove facility and shipped in closed cabinets to the other stores for daily distribution.
